I still cannot even believe it myself… two weekends ago I had the privilege of shooting with the amazing Susan Stripling. Susan’s blog was the first one I started reading over two and a half years ago. Last March, I read on her blog that she would be holding a small workshop at her studio in Tallahassee. I just had to go and of course Brett let encouraged me. The workshop changed my perspective, creativity, and photography. Fast forward to this year at WPPI [almost a year after attending Susan's workshop]. I listened to her give a talk at the PickPic booth and waited till everyone left so I could say hello. As I was listening to her speech, as nerdy as it is, I was rehearsing how I would re-introduce myself since there would be NO way she would remember me. I got up the courage to say hello and Susan gave me a hug and said how great it was to see me again! She talked about coming down to Miami and needing an assistant for a wedding. My heart was racing a million miles a second as I tried to act cool and say how I didn’t think I was booked that date. I was SOOOO excited. I said goodbye to Susan and told her I would email her about helping with the wedding, then I walked out the door did a happy dance and called my husband and mom to tell them the big news! I still can’t help but smile when I think about the fact that I shot with SUSAN STRIPLING! Here are some of the images I took while I was with her. Christine and Jared were married at the beautiful Vizcaya in Miami. What a gorgeous couple, a beautiful day, and an awesome opportunity for me!

More importantly it is a magnificent place to have a wedding!

Christine’s shoes and dress were so unique and perfectly fit her style.

Christine and her bridesmaids got ready at the fabulous Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove.

They were married in the gardens of the Vizcaya, which was exquisite. I love how Christine looks at Jared.

The day after we headed back to take more pictures of the two of them alone. *A Day After session is a great way to get extra special pictures!*

These two are from the gardens where they were married just the night before. Love it!

Stay tuned for photographs of Brett and I when the camera was turned on us. A week after I shot with Susan, she had a workshop in St. Pete [where Brett and I grew up] and we modeled for it. Boy, I have a lot more empathy for those of you on the other side of the camera now!!!
