On Friday night, Brett and I had the privilege of attending a local event called ArtServe. One of the boys in Brett’s youth group {He is a youth minister for those who don’t know} was doing a live graffiti painting at the event. I knew that Zack was a great artist… but wow… watching him live was so much better than I expected. He is INSANELY talented! See for yourself. You know I couldn’t resist snagging some shots of him in action.

His dad told me I could move around to the other side so the ladder wasn’t in my way. I explained to him later that I thought the ladder looked pretty cool right where it was.
He agreed!

If you look it says SPEAK, which is perfect since that was the name of the event. How fabulous is this for a 16 year old? What TALENT!

Then of course we had to get some tough shots. I think it is mandatory to look tough when painting graffiti!

I wouldn’t want to meet him in a dark alley if he looked like this…

Inside they had all different types of art and he painted a piece to sell. This is just stupid cool {to quote my brother – who is in his 30′s – which makes it funnier that he says it}

Seriously… I would do whatever that monster told me to!

It was such a great opportunity to see someone so talented… I mean I see him every Sunday and Wednesday, but it was different to see him doing what he is passionate about.
I can SPEAK from experience… it is important to do what you are passionate about. Zack will surely have a bright future and I am bet art will be in there somewhere!
