{What a WEEKEND}

Wow… I have had one hectic weekend, but it has been totally awesome. Right now I am waiting on a call to head to the hospital because Amanda is having baby Alyssa… I can’t wait to meet her tonight!!!

Yay Amanda… hurry up and push that baby girl out!!!

I also was lucky to have my BEAUTIFUL sister here this weekend and we took some fabulous graduation pictures.

Graduation from College, people. This lady is a Registered Nurse!

Also, I had SOOOO much fun at the Share the Love shoot out! I met some amazing photographers and took pictures of an adorable family.

{Amanda’s Pinkalicious Baby Shower}

Today I hosted my best friend Amanda’s baby shower. It was the cutest – if I do say so myself. Luckily, I had the absolute GREATEST helpers {aka Mom, Dad, Mindy, and Brett} in the whole world to transform the fellowship hall of our church. The shower was beautiful but let me just tell you, I sure am tired now. I talked to my Mom about eating all the cookies yesterday and then she reminded me the shower was this afternoon and that is when I was eating the cookies. Opps. My brain is barely functioning. Anyway, here are some pictures of this girly shower. The theme was Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice {great idea Mom}. Make sure you also check out Amanda and her hubby’s maternity session here.

P.S. Alyssa is definitely having her 1 year old pictures in the cupcake dress!

Here are the favors I made. They are magnets, so everyone can hang pictures of Baby Alyssa on their fridge after she comes.

This faux fireplace was in the church and we decided to make it useful. It turned out to be my favorite thing!

My Dad worked all day painting the frames. Thanks Daddy!

If you have a mantel, you seriously need to consider a portrait gallery.

I can hardly believe all that has happened between Amanda and I in two years. Two years ago, I was sitting in a Reading Class when I overhead a friend talking to someone I had never seen before about getting engaged. Being the aspiring photographer that I was, I quickly chimed into the conversation and boy that was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Not only did Amanda hire me to shoot her wedding in June of 2008, but she became one of my best friends in the process! Now a year and a half after I photographed her wedding {my first one ever}, I am capturing a new stage in her life, motherhood. I cannot wait to meet little Alyssa Danielle in just a little over a month. Congratulations Amanda and Greg!

The other day I received this beauty in the mail and couldn’t have been more excited! These are the newest product I am offering for portrait sessions. Why a bunch of individual prints? When you can have them in a beautifully bound album. Love it! Everyone should want one of these beautiful Finao albums.

Lori, great job on the cover choice! {There are many different options, but I love this one}

This is not only a great way to show off your pictures, but come on now, it would be such an awesome present.

Think about Grandma opening one of these on Christmas morning – I’m just saying!

In other news… today is my niece Kayleigh’s birthday! Happy Birthday KJ!

Last update. I have been having the MOST FUN WEEK.

Brett’s college roommate, Jarrod, came in town and we have been having a blast all week.

I.held.an.alligator.today. If that tells you anything. Many many pictures to come.

Oh and one last picture, this little cutie fell asleep on my couch last night! Oh baby Ayden.

{Beyond Excited}

I am soooo totally stocked {yes, I am bringing the word back} about tomorrow! I am going to Lawrence Chan’s Coffee Shop Tour. Lawrence is basically amazing {from everything I have heard} and is a total genius at SEO {Search Engine Optimization ~ don’t feel bad, I didn’t have any idea what that was a few weeks ago}. He has created an amazing website ToFurious, where he has tons of great resources for photographers. Okay, now that you have all the background, what I am really excited about is that I get to #1 go to the Coffee Shop Tour tomorrow morning, where he will give some tips on blogging and #2 I get to pick him and his assistant Julie up and take them there. I know it is nerdy, but I can’t wait. They will be captive with me for at least a 20 minute ride to and from the coffee shop. Surely, something will have to rub off, right? Doesn’t he just look sooooo nice? He is coming to Miami for a workshop in October… ohhh… how much I want to go! Then [B]ecker has a workshop the next day. I am drooling over both!

Well, tomorrow I will be cramming all the information on blogging I can into my brain and I can’t wait.

Because no posts are complete without some images. My best friend, Danielle, is having her baby boy soon and I CAN’T wait… I seriously have an unhealthy amount of excitement! Here are a few images from her maternity shoot… more to come.
